Rev. Yael Lachman Minister

Rev. Yael Lachman

Minister

Rev. Yael Lachman moved to Salem in January 2019 to serve as settled Minister of First Congregational Church. She was ordained in 2012 after graduating from Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, and has served churches in Bridgton, Maine, and Santa Cruz, California. Yael holds a Master’s Degree in Ecology and Environmental Biology, and brings to her ministry a passion for restoring humanity’s sacred covenant with the earth itself, and with all creatures. Yael is also devoted to helping churches become truly intergenerational communities, where children, youth, and families of all shapes and sizes worship, create, and celebrate together—all year long! When she’s not in church, you can find Yael hiking, kayaking, sketching outdoors, writing, and making linoleum block prints.
