Rainbow Art by Grace and Gavin Krier
LENT and HOLY WEEK 2024
Throughout the season of Lent we will explore the themes of Covenant.
How do we engage the Covenants that God makes with us, that we make with God, that we make with one another, and that we make with all of creation?

Join us on a journey into the Rainbow Covenant of Life!
Lent and Holy Week Booklet
February 14th is the beginning of Lent, the ancient season of contemplation, practice, and exploration that prepares Christians, and those interested in the Jesus Way, to welcome the Risen Christ and recommit to being the Beloved Community.
This year we have a wonderful new opportunity to share the various Lent and Holy Week programs with several ecumenical sibling churches here in Salem. We have partnered with First Christian Disciples of Christ, St. Mark's Lutheran, First Presbyterian, Westminster Presbyterian, and Morningside United Methodist churches to create a season with opportunities for all. From a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper and Ashes To Go, to a Children's Cozy Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Sunrise Worship, we know you can find something that will make this Lenten Journey one to remember.
In it you will find programming for all ages, including:
-
Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper
-
Ash Wednesday services
-
Adult Ed programming
-
Movement Practice
-
Labyrinths
-
Palm Sunday Cantata
-
Holy Week opportunities
