About the event
The gospels do not speak with a single voice. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John each offer a distinct testimony about Jesus, shaped by different communities, questions, and historical contexts. Exploring each witness give us a richer, more compelling portrait of who Jesus is and why his life continues to matter.
This Tuesday evening online study will explore the four gospels using The Four Witnesses by Robin Griffith-Jones, inviting us to encounter Mark’s urgent Jesus, Matthew’s deeply Jewish teacher, Luke’s social visionary, and John’s mystical Christ.
Rather than trying to blend these accounts into one story, we will honor their differences and explore how each gospel answers Jesus’ enduring question: “Who do you say that I am?” Together, we will reflect on how listening to multiple voices can deepen faith, challenge assumptions, and open new ways of understanding Jesus in our own time.
