12 Noon.    Blessing / Opening by Danza Azteca, Indigenous dancers

12:30 pm      Concert by Singer Gabino Palomares, Mexico

Dear Friends,

12 Noon.    Blessing / Opening by Danza Azteca, Indigenous dancers

12:30 pm      Concert by Singer Gabino Palomares, Mexico

1:00 pm.      May Day Declaration and International Bill of Rights by 

                   Reyna Lopez, president of PCUN farm workers union

 

                   Speakers from the Community

 

2:30--3:30 pm.    .75 mile march around the State Capitol Building in 

                      support of + housing for all

                      + path to citizenship for undocumented persons

                      + full funding for public education

                      + ceasefire in Palestine

 

THROUGHOUT THE AFTERNOON, BROWSE THE RESOURCE TABLES OF LOCAL COMMUNITY GROUPS including FARM WORKER MINISTRY NW (FWM-NW)!

 

Faith Leaders:  You are welcome to wear religious attire, such as liturgical stole, clerical collar, etc.  In the 1990's, PCUN organizer Leone Bicchieri urged,"Faith allies, show your colors!  Let others know the faith community stands with working families for justice."
